**Cercle Brugge has ended its collaboration with head coach Bernd Storck. He is being replaced by German coach Onur Cinel (40), who has signed a contract with the club until June 2027.**

We would like to thank Bernd Storck for his commitment to Cercle. For the second time, he took charge at a crucial moment and succeeded in keeping us in the top division.

In recent weeks, a thorough internal evaluation of the season was conducted, which showed that the sporting ideas and working methods of both parties no longer aligned sufficiently to continue working together. Assistant coach Matyas Czuczi is also leaving the club.

## Cercle welcomes Onur Cinel

Onur Cinel joins from Red Bull Salzburg, where he was active as interim head coach and later as assistant coach. Previously, he was also head coach of FC Liefering.

Cinel is known as a hard-working and promising coach with a modern and energetic football philosophy. He has a strong personality and has proven himself capable of developing young players, both at Salzburg’s youth academy and previously at Schalke 04.

At Cercle, Onur Cinel will be tasked with further implementing the club’s sporting vision. Groen-Zwart is confident he is the right person to realize our ambitions: develop players and deliver recognizable, energetic football.
