**Cercle Brugge and American club FC Cincinnati have reached an agreement for the transfer of forward Kevin Denkey (23). The Togolese striker will remain with Cercle until December 15 and will then depart for a record fee to Major League Soccer.**

Denkey (23) joined Cercle Brugge in January 2021 and has since made an impressive impact with 62 goals and 20 assists in 147 appearances. Last season, he truly flourished, becoming the top scorer of the Jupiler Pro League with 27 goals. His exceptional performances earned him the Ebony Shoe, the award for the best player of African descent in Belgium's top division—a first for a Cercle player.

This season, Denkey continues to find the back of the net with ease. In the UEFA Conference League, the Togolese international delivered a stunning hat-trick in a 6-2 victory against FC Sankt-Gallen. In the Pro League league, he has already scored seven goals.

At the end of December, Denkey will make the move to FC Cincinnati in Major League Soccer (MLS). His final home game for Cercle will take place on Sunday, December 8, against Union SG—an ideal opportunity to give our top scorer a warm farewell.
