Cercle Brugge and Stade Reims found an agreement on the permanent transfer of Ibrahim Diakité. The 20-year-old right-back, international for Guinea, signed a four-season contract at Cercle, until June 2028.

Ibrahim Diakité was trained at France's Stade Reims and made his professional debut there at the age of 18. This was followed by a loan to KAS Eupen. So the Jupiler Pro League is nothing new for Diakité. The international also remembers the games against Cercle well: "The Belgian league is a strong competition for me to develop further. I remember Cercle as a team that brings very intense and attacking football," said **Ibrahim Diakité**.

Another loan at Swiss side Stade Lausanne followed last winter. Diakité played a total of 10 games there, scoring once. An international for Guinea, Diakité played all matches for his country during the last Africa Cup. So now a new step for the young right back, who signed a contract for four seasons at Cercle: "The conversations with Cercle immediately convinced me that this is the right step in my career", the newcomer said.
