**Cercle managed to snatch a late point at Kortrijk thanks to a last-minute goal from substitute Paris Brunner. In hindsight, it was a somewhat fortunate draw, although Perrin came very close to making it 1-2 with a shot against the post. "There's mainly a sense of relief after this match," goalkeeper Maxime Delanghe admitted.**

### Maxime Delanghe: "Every point can make the difference"

"We faced a strong Kortrijk today. We started the match far too passively," Delanghe began. "We stepped onto the pitch with the right intentions, but it quickly became clear that things weren’t going our way."

"We lost too many duels and couldn’t win second balls, which meant we were constantly chasing the game. We expected Kortrijk to come out aggressively, as we know their coach, but they executed their game plan well, also with the support of their fans."

"The last 15 minutes were positive, and in the final moments, we even came close to stealing a win. Maybe we needed that bit of luck, but one point is still better than nothing."

"Now we have three games left, not the easiest ones, but we simply have to get the job done. For now, we’re in a safe position, and every single point can make the difference at the end of the season," the Belgian goalkeeper concluded.

#### **Ferdinand Feldhofer: "Our first half was unacceptable"**

Cercle coach Feldhofer also seemed content with the 1-1 draw. "The feeling I have right now is hard to describe. For the first 80 minutes, we couldn’t create anything, but in the end, we even had the chance to win," the Austrian reacted.

"We played very nervously and below our level. Our first half was simply unacceptable. After halftime, we switched to a four-man defense, which brought more balance in the early second half. But around the hour mark, Kortrijk still had a few chances to score."

"In the end, Brunner and Bruninho gave us extra attacking power, allowing us to score. We should be happy with this point—it could turn out to be a very important one by the end of the season," the Cercle coach acknowledged.
