**Cercle Brugge has appointed Luciano Murchio as Technical Director. The 28-year-old Mexican has been part of the Association since January 2021, first as Head of Scouting and since last season as Assistant Technical Director.**

With Luciano Murchio, the Association chooses someone who knows Cercle inside out. Over the past years he has played a key role in several incoming transfers, for both the first team and Jong Cercle. Now Luciano will be responsible on a daily basis for the sporting operations of Green & Black.

Before his arrival in Bruges, Murchio gained valuable experience at the Mexican top club Club América. Both in Mexico and at Cercle, he worked alongside Carlos Aviña, former Technical Director of the Association and now at AS Monaco.

After a thorough evaluation, the decision was made in favor of a familiar face. CEO Klaas Reynaert explains:  
“We had set ourselves the goal of appointing a new Technical Director before the start of the season.”

“After in-depth discussions with several candidates, our final choice ultimately fell on Luciano. He knows Cercle, understands our sporting vision, and is also familiar with the Jupiler Pro League.”
