**Lukas Mondele has joined the Green-Black ranks. The 22-year-old Belgian midfielder arrives from Francs Borains and has signed a contract with the Vereniging until June 2029, with an option for an additional season.**

Lukas was born in Brussels and came through the youth ranks at RRC De Boitsfort, Charleroi and Club Brugge, among others.

He then moved abroad, gaining experience in Italy with Modena and Pergolettese, and in Slovenia with ND Bilje.

Last season, the left-footed midfielder returned to Belgium, where he grew into a regular presence in midfield at Francs Borains.

Thanks to his physical qualities and versatility, the former Belgian youth international can also play centrally in defence.

**Luciano Murchio, Technical Director:** *“We are very happy to welcome Lukas to Cercle.*

*Lukas has a very interesting profile and combines his quality on the ball with strong physical attributes. His pathway in football has been quite unique and shows his mentality, resilience and determination.*

*After a strong season with Francs Borains, we are convinced that he will be a valuable addition to our midfield. His qualities fit well with the profiles we already have, and we are very pleased that he has chosen Cercle.”*

### Welcome, Lukas!
