**Cercle Brugge has secured a new forward: 21-year-old Ivorian Oumar Diakité joins on loan from Stade Reims. Cercle also negotiated a purchase option.**

Oumar came through the youth ranks of ASEC Mimosas in his home country, before being picked up by Red Bull Salzburg in 2022.

The Austrian top club immediately loaned him out to FC Liefering, where the Ivorian recorded 12 goals and 11 assists in 35 matches.

That successful loan spell earned Oumar a transfer to Stade Reims in July 2023. In Ligue 1, he registered 9 goals and 2 assists across two seasons.

Our new forward is also an international for Ivory Coast, with whom he won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2024. For “Les Éléphants”, he has already scored 5 goals.

Oumar has chosen the number 10 shirt at Cercle Brugge and will join the squad as soon as all administrative matters have been completed.
