**Jimmy De Wulf (44) is the new head coach of Cercle Brugge. With Jimmy at the helm, Cercle opts for a familiar face within the club and someone who knows both the team and the league very well.**

As a player, Jimmy made 147 appearances for Cercle between 2002 and 2008. After retiring from professional football in 2014, he returned to the club as a coach. He first worked with the U17 and reserve teams, before becoming assistant coach for the first team.

Within Cercle, Jimmy is known as a hard-working and passionate coach. In the past, he played a key role in developing academy talents such as Charles Vanhoutte, Olivier Deman, and Thibo Somers.

After several seasons as an assistant, Cercle now believes the time is right to give him the opportunity to lead the team as head coach, with the mission of securing our place in the league this season.

### **Robin Peter joins the technical staff**

In addition to appointing Jimmy De Wulf, Cercle also welcomes Robin Peter to the technical staff as an assistant coach. The 37-year-old German was head coach of FC Emmen in the Dutch second division until February this year. Before that, he worked at RB Leipzig from 2011 onwards, where he coached several teams, including the U19 squad in his final season.

He knows the squad inside out and understands better than anyone how crucial the next six games are for Cercle. With his experience and knowledge of the Jupiler Pro League, combined with a new assistant coach, we are convinced that Jimmy is the right man to lead us through the play-offs."*
